Overview

NeoCast is an open communication middleware for NEO, enabling cross-chain notifications and messaging for dapps, wallets, and services. Using the protocol, any smart contract, dApp, or backend service can communicate both on-chain and off-chain via user wallet addresses in an open, gasless, multichain, and platform-agnostic fashion. Wallets can subscribe to a “topic”. Messages can be broadcasted or sent to targetted wallets within a “topic” from a smart contract using an abstracted oracle service or a backend service using the API.
